Even though we know it’s critical (and sensible), we rarely make the time to learn from the projects we have just delivered. What went well? What didn’t go so well? What would you change next time and which ones will have the biggest impact? Often the barrier to answering these simple questions is usually a mix of not having a robust and inclusive format and having someone unrelated to the project to ask the difficult questions for you. This is where the Project Retro format comes in.
It’s useful for…
- Identifying project learnings – Understand exactly HOW a project went and identify (good and bad) what made the difference
- Giving everyone an equal voice – Give everyone an opportunity to share their experiences in a positive and supportive way, free from blame or finger-pointing
- Agreeing improved processes – Leave with a clear list of what to change next time, why it’s needed and how to make it happen

What happens next?
To make this happen, here’s broadly what happens next…
- Get in touch through the contact page in the main menu
- We’ll exchange a few emails or even better, jump on a call to explore the brief, get the background on the project or campaign in question and agree the direction.
- Agree the team makeup, the time and the date
- If there are any curve-balls, sensitivities or requirements, we can chat about them too.
- I’ll help you craft the meeting invite so that your team are ready for the workshop. Any Miro instructions will be covered too.
- If it’s in-person, I’ll arrive at least 60 mins before to set up, ideally 90 mins
- If it’s virtual / via a video call, I’ll join the call at the agreed time using your preferred video-conferencing platform and give instructions from there
- After the event, I’ll send over a compressed PDF of the outputs that is small enough to email around. You’ll also get the raw images or Miro outputs as PDFs plus a video walk-through of what happened in the session
- I send you the invoice
